For years, we have seen politicians close themselves off to those they are elected to represent. It is nearly impossible to personally speak to most of them if you have an issue unless you "pay" for their time with a donation or endorsement.
Instead of making citizens come to public servants, the government should be the ones going out to the voters. As a candidate, I have chosen to increase opportunities for Texans to contact me personally, and as a state representative, will open satellite offices across our great district.
No matter what, my door and my ear is and always will be open to your issues. I will always vote on what the community wants even if it is against my own beliefs or party politics. That is what "representative democracy" is all about.
